Top 2 Spring Incense Recipes for Ostara + Grimoire Page

Ostara Incense Recipe #1

  • 2 parts Frankincense
  • 1 part Benzoin
  • 1 part Dragon’s Blood
  • 1/2 part Nutmeg
  • 1/2 part Violet Flowers (or a few drops of Violet Oil)
  • 1/2 part Orange peel
  • 1/2 part Rose Petals

I usually omit ingredients like the first three of this blend because I usually don’t have them on hand. But in this case I had all but the Benzoin!

Ostara Incense Recipe #2

Equal parts of the following:

  • frankincense
  • myrrh
  • dragons blood
  • cinnamon (just a dash)
  • nutmeg (just a dash)
  • sage
  • lotus
  • orange peel
  • rose petals

You could also add violet flowers and strawberry to this mixture as well. Start with equal parts or just a pinch of each, until you have the desired aroma.

Mix your ingredients together, I like to use a glass bowl or a mortar because it makes the act of mixing the herbs feel special. Light your coal and place it in your kadylo, thurible, incensor or any heat safe open container. Sprinkle your loose herb incense mix onto the coal and enjoy the Ostara aroma.
